Seeking an experienced IT Manager, who will report into the Operations Director. The role is being established to allow for the retirement of the existing IT Manager and to update, improve and futureproof IT Infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced IT Manager, who is interested in leading this important technical role, building out a team and guiding the Company into a more resilient and secure position as it continues to grow.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • System Maintenance: Maintenance and monitoring of computer systems, networks, and servers. Servers and dependencies updates, security patches, critical bug fixes, and pen test setup and reviews. Performing routine checks, backups, and updates to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to IT support activities, including hardware and software inventory security, Migration, data domains and user manuals. Preparing reports on system performance, trends, and recurring issues.
  • IT Security: Implement and enforcing IT security policies and procedures. Monitoring for potential security breaches or vulnerabilities so that the appropriate action is taken to mitigate risks. Administration of security systems, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls.
  • Account Management: Creation, modification, and deletion of user accounts and access privileges. Managing user authentication and password resets. Ensuring user accounts are properly maintained and comply with security policies and reporting on all changes.
  • User Support: Responding to user inquiries and providing technical assistance and support via phone, email, or in-person. Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, and resolving them in a timely manner. Logging and tracking support to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborating with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues and implement IT projects. Coordinating with external vendors or service providers as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A relevant IT-university degree, although candidates with other suitable/equivalent
  • experience will be considered. Solid understanding of server systems, hardware, software,
  • and networks including Windows and Linux.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware components, common operating systems (e.g.,
    Windows, macOS) and software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Azure, Adobe etc).
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols, LAN/WAN configurations, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and provide support to end-users with varying levels
    of technical proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security in all systems.
  • Ability to contribute towards standards and accreditations such as ISO 27001 and Cyber
    Essentials.

OTHER INFORMATION
There will be a six-month probationary period to allow time for the candidate to “bed in”. There will be regular catch ups held with the Operations Director and, on occasion and as needed, the Managing Director and Finance & HR Director.
